Job Summary As the IT Data Protection Manager for First American, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's 100% cloud-based applications and critical data are well protected and recoverable. You will also be a source of accountability for, and a champion of continuous improvement by analyzing and forecasting trends using data from backup systems and ITSM solutions. Additionally, responsible for managing an international team performing administration, troubleshooting, testing and automation. The IT Data Protection Manager works closely with decision makers to identify, recommend, implement, and support technology solutions ensuring early the highest degree of data protection. Job Profile Summary Manages a group of technical professionals (typically skilled exempt level employees) who have responsibility for operations and project outcomes. Provides direct and indirect supervision of teams. Job Description Responsible for the design and continuous improvement of cloud-based application and data protection systems. Ensures company data is backed up and can be reliably restored when needed. Continuously monitors backups to confirm integrity and RPO/RTO are being met. Employs the highest security standards to prevent the introduction of malware or other risks to data. Contributes to project reviews and approves detailed designs and cost estimates for projects. Sets priorities on daily operations, provides input to and administers cost center spending. Participates in long-range departmental planning. Recommends methodologies. Interfaces with management inside and outside of the company to provide input to operational decisions and to clarify or modify project plans, and/ or schedule requirements. Writes and conducts employee performance reviews, and provides ongoing performance feedback. Makes hiring recommendations. May get input from Sr. Manager/ Director in these areas. Prepares and maintains job descriptions for positions that report to him/her. Regularly interacts with senior management and peers in other departments for purposes of gaining cooperation, exchanging technical information, and presenting project plans and reports. Facilitates work and problem resolution between work groups. May lead cooperative inter-department projects and/or process improvement efforts. Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs. Job Complexities Works on a diverse range of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and an understanding of current business and technological trends. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. On a regular basis, initiates corrective action needed to resolve complex, critical issues. Provides input to and may develop operational plans and works with senior management to ensure that plans are integrated with broader strategies. Impact Provides input to department strategic plan and budget. Recommends changes to process, SLA's, department policies, procedures, metrics and standards. Influences senior management on decisions related to department priorities, schedules, plans and cost controls. Achieves objectives for multiple and varied projects. Qualifications:
Understands and has experience on cloud platforms with ransomware solutions, immutable backup technologies and back up strategies Successful track record of managing operations; and designing, developing and managing the execution of projects in backup operations. Ability to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance and quality. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments. Strategic Management:

years of technical experience as a senior contributor. 3 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar technical environment. Strong background in backup and recovery services. Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively. Solid understanding of virtualization, server, and storage technologies. Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI or other cloud infrastructure technologies. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
