2K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago The Insurance Verifier ensures insurance benefits on all admissions and encounters to determine the level of insurance coverage for compliance with hospital admission policy.
Obtains authorizations and pre-certifications in compliance with third party payers, State or Federal agencies.
Collaborates with other departments as need to ensure proper reimbursement.
Works with Case managers to ensure all in-house patients have current certifications and meet criteria for admission.
Notifies patients of non-covered services and offers alternatives or advises patient of financial requirements for admission or treatment.
Informs patients of estimated financial liability after insurance has been verified.
Identifies accounts eligible for medical assistance and forwards to the Financial Counselor.
Documents all insurance benefits accurately and legibly.
Completes all insurance verification before admission and /or treatment services rendered according to established policies and procedures.
Provides copies of Medi-Cal POS slips to appropriate departments.
REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
6 months experience preferred Benefits :

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
