SAP IT Project Manager Job Description
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Information Technology department. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project. Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projects. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
The IT Project manager will be responsible for the delivery of the desired project results and the daily management of the project. Must anticipate deviations from the project direction and carry out the necessary corrective action in a timely manner. The Project manager must have a deep understanding of the integration of business processes within the enterprise.
The Project manager will be an active member of the steering committee. They have decision-making authority in matters concerning the program and budget. The Project Manager will escalate issues as required, recognize and present strategic decisions to project sponsors to drive project activity to a successful conclusion.
Qualifications:
Broad SAP application knowledge of the modules MM, WM, PP, QM, SD and FI/CO. Knowledge of business process integration points between the functional areas.
SAP configuration knowledge in at least two of the SAP modules MM, WM, PP, QM, SD or FI/CO
Minimum 8 years of SAP project experience including at least 2 full life cycle implementations.
Cross-functional business process knowledge in the manufacturing area
SAP implementation experience in a regulated environment (ITAR, SOX, and Environmental Regulation).
Experience in business process design and documentation.
25-50% travel required dometic and international
Experience with Solution Manager, HP Test tools, and SharePoint required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, meeting facilitation skills, strong analytical skills.
Requires a bachelor's degree in
computer
Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Experience implementing large scale projects in multi-national manufacturing companies required. High tech industry experience strongly desired.

Finalize and manage the project scope, budget and deadlines in accordance with the approved plan.

Carry out evaluations and analyses.
Carrying out a formal review at the end of each phase.
Clarify open issues in a timely manner.
Report regularly to the steering committee and project team on the progress and status of the project.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
