Sales Representative / Account Executive

The Sales Representative / Account Executive will assume sales responsibility for assigned accounts with the ultimate goal of building and executing a sales strategy to maximize revenue growth across the breadth of accounts. He or she will proactively identify, pursue and create new business opportunities, as well as extensions of sales to existing clients and securing renewals of contacts. The incumbent will follow-up on marketing-generated inquiries and prospect into targeted accounts. The Account Executive will develop a clear understanding of business operating environments and output management requirements of prospective customers. He or she will identify customer success criteria and determine what it takes to close opportunities.
Position Responsibilities
Effectively coordinate all aspects of the sale from start to finish
Responsible for list of assigned customer accounts within a specific geographic area and must achieve sales quotas.
Develop a sales strategy and written plan for targeted list of prospects
Identify customer software needs and propose appropriate software solutions with appropriate SupplierGATEWAY products
Serve as trusted advisor to customer by understanding their existing and future supplier data management roadmap to drive solution appropriate for marketplace
Promote, develop prospects and grow customer satisfaction by prescribing an effective service solution
Build a database of prospects within the target market
Schedule and conduct face-to-face appointments with key decision makers and project groups and present a compelling value proposition
Create and conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations and prepare written proposals
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, conditions and prepare final sales agreement
Serve as primary contact and advisor for your clients throughout the sales cycle
Manage the assigned sector by providing sales call reports, sector analysis and accurate data within the sales and marketing database, accurate forecasting and sector insight
Travel to areas where needs are projected and keep abreast of current B2B software market trends and changing software peripherals
Stay abreast of new SupplierGATEWAY functionality so as to acquire new accounts or up sell existing customers
Help customers maximize the use of software features and advise customers on appropriate user training
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
Minimum of 5 years of outside, consultative B2B sales experience
Minimum of 3 years of B2B software sales experience
Experience selling in the Healthcare, Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge of Supplier Diversity and/or Supply chain Management a plus
Must be able to quickly learn entire SupplierGATEWAY product line
Strong consultative skills and demonstrated ability to cold call potential clients to build a pipeline
Demonstrated experience utilizing a contact management system
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to travel approximately 50% or more is required
Salary
Competitive base salary plus commission on new sales, renewals and extensions of salesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
