JOB SUMMARY
Reads and records coded signals received in the Monitoring Center from integrated alarm signaling system by accurately interpreting incoming subscriber equipment signals and responding in the appropriate manner which is consistent with company policies and procedures. Performs duties in accordance with Stanley CSS' established Core Values and Mission Statement.
Must be able to work 2nd shift, 4:00pm - 12:30am. Must be able to work weekends and Holidays. This is a full time position. Shifts/hours worked are subject to change per business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interprets coded audible or visible signals received on alarm signal board from subscriber's premises that indicate opening and closing of protected premises, unlawful intrusions, or fire, etc.
Dispatches to the proper public safety agency when necessary after receiving an alarm.
Insures that complete and accurate information is entered in the console log as well as on Dispatch and Incident Reports.
Answers the phone promptly and courteously by limiting the response to three rings and assisting the customer immediately with any help they may require.
Completes a service ticket when a system is malfunctioning and ensures that all pertinent information is entered accurately.
Maintains the operator log with all the necessary information that occurs during the shift.
Prepares daily alarm activity and subscriber service reports in a timely manner and runs end of shift reports to ensure that the next shift is properly informed of possible problems.
Performs additional duties as directed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous customer service or dispatching experience
Excellent verbal communication skills and clearly understood written communication skills
Basic computer and typing proficiency
Ability to hear and distinguish different sounds on audio surveillance systems
Demonstrate good work ethic
Availability to work weekends, holidays, & overtime as necessary
Ability to distinguish different colors
Ability to maintain a strong attendance record and positive attitude
Must be able to sit at work station for extended periods of time.
Must be able to distinguish between red and green
Must be able to hear at threshold levels or 45dB and 35dB for the frequencies of 3000 Hz and 6000Hz respectively
EQUIPMENT USED
To successfully perform the essential duties an individual must be able to operate a computer, telephone and telephone headset, fax machine, and copier.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Workstation in the Monitoring Center that accommodates the work environment characteristics that each employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
