Job Summary
The Maintenance Clerk/Janitor maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. Supports the Store Director in maintaining exceptional standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, floor and parking lot maintenance, bagging, price checks, and go-backs.
Key Responsibility
Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures.
Sweep and mop offices, empty trash and keep stairwells clean
Clean all restrooms daily, check hourly
Keep supplies filled in break rooms
Mop floors in and around break rooms
Keep tables, counters, sinks and microwaves wiped down
Clean out refrigerator weekly
Listen for all spill/cleanups and clean them quickly and efficiently
Clean out trash cans on sales floor and wipe down lids daily
Spray out and clean all trash cans weekly
Check for trash outside by dumpsters and dispose of it
Clean drinking fountain daily
Check lights in deli case and over deli
Clean, sweep and mop conference room
Check paper towel and soap dispensers throughout store and keep them stocked
Order janitorial supplies
Periodically clean freezer doors, chrome on cases and back room entrance, polish all wood doors
Stock shelves in stairwell with cleaner, paper products and soap
Picks up papers, product, or trash from the sales floor and shopping carts
Performs other duties as required or requested by management
Physical Requirements
Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
Able to stand prolonged periods of time
Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holiday
