Lead Economic Development Specialist

The Lead Economic Specialist is responsible for:
-Ensure that the Small Business Administration's (SBA) strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. - Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved. - Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution - Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. - Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods, techniques for team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects. - Serve as a coach, facilitator and/or negotiate in coordinating team initiatives and consensus building activities among team members. - Develop and implement Strategic Marketing & Outreach Plan - Build and maintain a local network of collaborative partnerships with small business stakeholders such as economic development practitioners in Federal, state, regional and local government organizations, Chamber of Commerce, etc. - Communicate Outreach Events and Small Business Presentations/Trainings - Assess, advise and counsel small businesses and individuals that contact SBA directly for assistance and linking them up with an appropriate referral to one of SBA resource partners. GS-13:
One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Establishing and monitoring program goals and leading a team toward achieving the goals; evaluating the work of team members, including promoting employee development, resolving workplace issues, and allocating resources; and In developing marketing strategy for programs and services and developing and delivering outreach, training, presentations and education on a variety of business and financial management topics; and building and managing collaborative alliances and partnerships with partners, economic development organizations and small businesses counseling individuals on business management; and Providing program oversight and compliance reviews through consultative customer interaction.These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
