WHAT IS THE HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICE (HCO) DIVISION:
The HCO mission is to make IRS an employer of choice and a leader in human capital planning and management. It develops strategies and tools for recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining a highly skilled and high performing workforce to support the IRS mission. WHAT DOES A HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST DO? A Human Resource Specialist performs work that involves strategic recruitment and the advisement of management in identifying, attracting, and retaining a high-quality and diverse workforce that is capable of accomplishing the organizations mission. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will:
Provide a full range of technical advice, assistance, and related services to management officials and employees within the assigned organization on the following Human Resources management functions:
position management/classification, labor/employee relations, staffing, recruitment, placement, human resources development, performance management, employee benefits, human resources information systems and/or occupational analysis. Meet with management officials regarding basic personnel management problems and suggests alternative problem solutions to meet management's needs. Participate on task groups as required. Answer questions from employees and managers on a variety of personnel management matters related to the assigned HR management functions. GS-12 Level:
You must have one 1 year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
applying a wide range of HR concepts, methods, principles and practices used in HR functions/processes. Examples of creditable work experience include:
the identification of HR needs, conducting a variety of analysis and using the results to make recommendations and support actions; advising management officials on HR sources and strategies while adhering to Federal personnel regulations, agency policies and directives, and contractual provisions governing the HR functions/processes. Assisting and developing other HR personnel. - The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-timework; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.- To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following, if applicable:
You must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
