Administrative Program Specialist

Conducts projects, of lesser complexity and with greater supervision, within the Center that have an impact on the operations of the various divisions within the Center. Analyzes large amounts of information and data and carries out studies to reinvent and improve business functions, increase efficiency, and achieve Center goals and objectives. With supervision, initiates personnel actions, analyzes work and writes position descriptions, provides advice and assistance regarding performance elements, standards and ratings, assists management regarding employee relations issues, labor relations, workers compensation, and other substantive personnel matters. Prepares Time and Attendance records for the office by processing employees' time into the Time and Attendance program (WebTA) and/or serves as POC for future Time and Attendance systems that may be used. Assists management in assessing the need for supplies, equipment, furniture, facilities, and other resources and takes appropriate action to meet these requirements. Assists in the performance of complex or large-scale acquisitions and adheres to the Federal Acquisition Regulations, policies and procedures. GS-07:
One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
conducting administrative functions involving various programs; maintaining a filing system both electronic and hard copy; using computers to assist with tracking documents, forms, and reports; receive and distribute supplies; assist in the use of spreadsheets to develop and maintain financial logs; and maintain time and attendance reports. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
