Housing Program Officer

As a Housing Program Officer, you will:
Function as a liaison for field service delivery and advises management of field impacts and concerns and recommends modification in approaches as necessary. These activities are essential to the agency's mission and function(s) and often may significantly affect large numbers of people on a long-term or continuing basis as well as promotion of industry and community relations. Perform a variety of wide-ranging and complex functions, processes, and procedures requiring intense efforts, and involves numerous phases of operation that are pursued concurrently or sequentially with support from within and outside the organization. Decisions regarding assignments include undefined issues and elements that require extensive probing and analysis to determine the nature, scope and eventual resolution of problems. Resolution of problems and status is communicated to the HOC Director or Deputy Director. Provides advice and guidance to the Homeownership Center Director while assisting in solving operational problems through workload transfers, staffing shifts, partnerships, contract modifications, etc. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Developing performance and planning tools and administrative requirements to effect organizational changes, improve operations or enhance program services or delivery based on the findings of in depth analysis; AND - Participating in a variety of communication settings presenting and acquiring Single Family Housing information including composing sensitive correspondence and position papers, program procedures, project implementation plans and major reports and gain participant cooperation in all types of settings.Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
